Metapa (Mexico)-After US threat of impoing tariffs, Mexico blocked about 1000 Central American migrants along a southern Mexico highway on Wednesday.

A Honduran migrant, Angel said "We will try to get legal documents but maybe they are lying because we have seen buses taking people back and some friends have told us that they have been detained after being told that that they (authorities) will help them but it is not true, only God knows."
On the condition of anonymity, an immigration official said that migrants would initially be taken to an immigration detention center in Tapachula.
