Veracruz: A group of unidentified gunmen killed 13 members of a family, including a child, and wounded at least four others at a family celebration in Mexico's Veracruz.
According to sources, the attackers had reportedly asked for a man named 'El Becky' who owned a bar in the city (before open firing at them).
Complaining about the lack of security, Lidia Carrasco, a close friend of the family, remarked, "It is very sad because nothing can be done, the Government, the President, they cannot do anything for us. Not just for anybody…but for everyone who is here in Minatitlan, who lives here."
Panic gripped survivors tried to describe the attackers. Officials say that the motive behind the shooting was still unknown.
Federal and state police set up checkpoints in the region to help in the search for the attackers.
