The coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 2,48,000 people worldwide, including over 68,598 in the US and more than 25,000 each in Italy, Britain and Spain, forcing lockdowns that have shuttered factories and businesses, thrown tens of millions out of work and throttled the world's economies.

Hyderabad: The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 35,66,230 and killed over 2,48,285 people across the world. More than 11,54,031 people have recovered so far.

The new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms for most people. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness or death.

New Zealand reported no new coronavirus cases on Monday, marking a significant moment that indicated the country’s bold strategy of trying to eliminate the virus.
