Brazil's Bolsonaro threatens to punch journalist

President Bolsonaro lost his cool when a reporter questioned the First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro's links to alleged corruption. According to a report published in the magazine Crusoe, Michelle had links with Fabrício Queiroz, a retired police officer, who had deposited funds in her bank account between 2011 and 2016.

Sao Paulo: Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Sunday has threatened to punch a reporter in the mouth when being questioned about the First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro's links to alleged corruption.

"I so want to pound your mouth with punches," Bolsonaro said to a reporter from O Globo who met the President after his routine visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral in Brasilia.

After the remarks, the President faced protests from the other journalists present there and left the place with any further comments.

According to a report published in the magazine Crusoe, the First Lady had a link with Fabrício Queiroz, a retired police officer and a friend of the President.

Queiroz was a former adviser to Michelle's son Flavio Bolsonaro who is now a senator. Reportedly, both are under investigation for a case that allegedly swindled pay from government employees when Flavio was a regional lawmaker in Rio de Janeiro.

"Queiroz deposited funds in Michelle's bank account between 2011 and 2016," the magazine article said.

However, Bolsonaro's wife has remained silent about this case.
