Charlotte: At least two people were killed while four others sustained injuries after a gunman opened fire on Tuesday night (local time) in the University of North Carolina campus.
2 dead, 4 injured in University of North Carolina shootout
Out of the four injured, two are being treated for "life-threatening injuries," media reported.
Police said a person has been taken into custody in connection with the shootout.
The University of North Carolina, which has around 30,000 students, has been under lockdown following reports of the shooting.
