Hyderabad: Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas spoke about how her mother-in-law Denise shared with her about watching her win the Miss World pageant in the year 2000. Denise told her that she was joined by her son Nick Jonas, who was then seven years old and watched her win the Miss World title.
In a recent interaction, Priyanka stated that she wasn't sure how to feel about this revelation because it emphasizes their age difference. Priyanka and Nick got married in 2018, and she expressed her happiness at being lately referred to as a 'long-time couple'.
She narrated the story saying, "When my mother-in-law told me the story, I was like, 'I don't know...'. I won the Miss World pageant when I was just 18 years old. It was in London. I had little experience since I was a total youngster who had no idea what she was doing or what this world entailed. And my mother-in-law was like, 'I remember watching you when you won!" I was in London and they were in Texas. I was like, 'There's no way'."

Priyanka further said that her mother-in-law remembers it clearly because her husband Kevin Sr enjoys watching pageants. She said, "That was like 22 years ago. He was 7 and I was 18. He was sitting there and he was watching. It was so weird. I do believe that people are meant to be together for whatever that duration in your life is supposed to be."
In January last year, Priyanka and Nick welcomed their first child, daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Priyanka most recently appeared in the high-budget Prime Video series Citadel, which was followed by the romantic drama Love Again.
