Hyderabad: Shaakuntalam actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu responded to director Nag Ashwin's birthday post for her in a hilarious way. The director had taken to his Instagram Stories to wish Samantha on her birthday with a behind-the-scenes picture from a film's set. However, in the picture, Samantha's face is not visible as a clapboard is placed right in front of her.
In a witty reply, the actor responded to the post, saying, 'I look really nice in this picture.' With this Samantha did get the joke and laughed it off with an even funnier response. Talking about her birthday, not just Nag Ashwin, several film personalities wished the beautiful actor on her birthday as she turned 36 on Friday.
However, the talented actor is having a working birthday and will celebrate her special day with the cast and crew of Citadel. Samantha is currently in Madhya Pradesh filming for Raj and DK's upcoming series Citadel. She recently attended the international Citadel premiere in the UK, which was produced by the Russo Brothers.
The English series by the Russo Brothers stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra in the lead, while the Indian adaptation of it by the same name has Samantha working opposite Varun Dhawan. In addition to Citadel, she will co-star with actor Vijay Deverakonda in the upcoming romantic comedy Khusi.
Recently, Samantha wowed the crowd with her acting prowess in Shaakuntalam. Based on a work by Kalidasa, it tells the tale of Shakuntala, who was courted by King Dushyant, and the curse imposed by rishi Durvasa that caused Dushyant to forget his love for the 'apsara'-like Shakuntala.
