Samantha's fans were overjoyed to see her in her stunning avatar for the series premiere starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden, but some sharp-eyed internet users noticed Samantha's old tattoo on her rib, which has a connection with her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya.
Did you know that Samantha had 'Chay' tattooed on the right side of her rib for her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya? In some of the photos that Samantha posted on Instagram, users noted that the dedicated tattoo was still clearly visible on her body and that Samantha had kept it despite their divorce.
Notably, Samantha also got a tattoo honouring Ye Maaya Chesave, the name of her first film. She and Naga Chaitanya were romantically depicted in the 2010 Telugu comedy. They also started dating at this time, and Samantha has always loved the movie. Samantha paid homage to it by getting a stylish tattoo of the letters YMC on the nape of her neck.
Samantha and Chaitanya both have matching tattoos of two arrows on their forearms. Sam has the mathcing tattoo on her right hand, while her ex-hubby had it on his left hand. Their wedding date was also inked onto this tattoo by Naga Chaitanya. Samantha had revealed details about this tattoo on Instagram, writing, "My tattoo means create your own reality. Samantha and Chaitanya announced their divorce in October 2021 after getting married in 2017. Samantha previously disclosed in a promotional interview for her film Shaakuntalam that she was offered the hit song Oo Antava "in the middle of the separation" from her former husband Naga Chaitanya. The actress claimed that her well-wishers, friends, and family advised her to decline the offer because she shouldn't perform "an item song" so soon after her divorce.
