Hyderabad: Salman Khan is back with a bang with his family entertainer Kisi ka Bhai Kisi ki Jaan opposite Pooja Hegde. With Monday box office collections, which though saw a steep fall, the actor has demonstrated that he is still a popular performer at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan brought in Rs 10.5 crore on Monday, bringing its four-day total in India to Rs 74 crore.
Although Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan experienced a significant decline on its opening Monday, it still managed to post double-digit numbers. Early estimates indicate that the movie, which had a strong weekend, made around Rs 10 crore on its fourth day of release. With this the film has 'passed' the crucial Monday test.
On Friday, the movie only made a meagre Rs 13 crore, but on Saturday and Sunday, it made Rs 25 crore and Rs 26 crore, respectively. According to Sacnilk, the movie had a total occupancy of over 15% on Monday and has already made over Rs 100 crore worldwide. The performance on single screens was excellent even on Monday, however, the Salman Khan starrer saw a decline in multiplex collections.
Although Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan isn't doing as remarkable as Salman's previous top hits, it is doing much better than anticipated when compared to other post-pandemic releases. It's important to note that KKBKKJ, which reportedly had up to 16,000 shows per day, is essentially the only significant Hindi release currently being screened in theatres.
KKBKKJ, a Farhad Samji-directed remake of the Ajith-starrer movie Veeram from 2014, also stars Venkatesh Daggubati in a supporting role and Jagapathi Babu as the antagonist. The movie received negative reviews from critics, but Salman's ardent supporters have once again come to his rescue.
