Hyderabad: Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is a Hindi film directed by Farhad Samji starring Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, and Venkatesh Daggubati, among others. Billed as one of the most awaited movies of the year, the film grossed around Rs 4.25 crores nett on its sixth day of release. The sith day collection brought the total to Rs 83.25 crores nett domestically.
Following the Eid festivities, the film performed well, however, there have been significant drops. However, given the lack of significant competition, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will continue to be the most popular Hindi film choice in its second week. This makes the Salman Khan starrer film hope for consolidation in its second weekend.
KKBKKJ is expected to gross between Rs 87.50 and Rs 88 crores in its first week, and the film will need to show a significant increase in its second weekend to stay in the race. Crossing the Rs 100 crore nett in India is a foregone conclusion; what matters is how much more the film will earn from this point forward.
If the film performs well, it may overtake Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar in the domestic circuit to become the second-highest Hindi film grosser of the year, but if it does not, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will remain in second place. If we look at global numbers, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is doing slightly better than Ranbir-Shraddha's rom-com.
Over the years, Salman Khan and Eid have made an incredible pairing. Salman Khan has proven why he is synonymous with Eid with over 6 bonafide blockbusters and 3 other hit films to his credit. This Eid has been particularly difficult for the actor, but the weekend numbers show that, with the right film, Salman Khan has the potential to fully cash on the festival of Eid.
