Hyderabad: Prabhas' upcoming science fiction action film Project K seems to be lagging behind its shoot schedule. Makers of the film earlier revealed the release date of Project K with a poster that claimed the movie will hit the theatres on January 12, 2024. It was obvious that the makers intended to profit from the Sankranti holidays. But it might not be ready by the specified date as Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is still recovering from the injuries he suffered on the film's set.
As per a report, a source close to the production stated that Big B won't be under any pressure and would be given all the time necessary to heal. The source stated, "It is still unclear when Bachchan saab will begin regular shooting, and neither the director (Nag Ashwin) nor the producers (Vyjayanthi Movies) are in a rush. They are not pressuring Bachchan Saab to resume shooting. They are prepared to wait as long as it takes. However, it seems improbable that Project K will release in January 2024 as planned."

Amitabh Bachchan suffered serious injuries while filming Project K. The megastar earlier stated on social media that he had broken a rib. And it needs to be told, not be held. He wrote, "In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured, rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage, cancelled the shoot, did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home (sic)."
Helmeby Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame, Project K is a dystopian film, which is made on a humongous budget. The behind-the-scene videos of the film gave the impression that the makers are creating a new world from scratch for the action-thriller.
