Hyderabad: For a very long time, Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been preparing for release. The huge success of the first installment, which was a top grosser from last year, has made the epic fantasy adventure movie one of the most anticipated Tamil films of all time. The producers are doing everything in their power to promote the movie in the best possible ways with only five days left.
Ponniyin Selvan 2's promotional tour kicked off in Coimbatore, and since then, the production team has been building anticipation for the movie's release in various regions across the nation. The cast has reportedly arrived in Hyderabad for the promotions, according to the most recent information. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Vikram, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi were seen arriving in style at the Hyderabad airport.
Aishwarya looked elegant in all-black and was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya. Trisha opted for a red co-ord while the top had drawstrings that made it look like a kaftan. Jayaram wore casuals, which included a black pant, an olive-green t-shirt, and a jacket. Karthi kept things understated in all-white, wearing a black and white jacket over a white t-shirt and black trousers.
The team was in Kerala on Friday for the promotions, and the makers of the film shared the pictures online. The film is back reprising the same actors. The cast won't change because the sequel picks up right where the first one left off. Karthi plays Vallavaraiyan Vanthiyathevan, the orphaned prince of the Vana clan, in the Mani Ratnam-directed film.
Vikram plays Aditya Karikalan, the crown prince, and Jayam Ravi plays Arumozhi Varma, also known as Ponniyin Selvan, the future emperor. Princess Kundavai Devi is played by Trisha Krishnan, and Nandini and Oomai Rani, the antagonist, are both played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
