Nation saw development in 70 yrs of Cong rule, not in past 5 yrs: Gehlot

Addressing a public rally in support of Congress candidate Ratan Devasi from Jalore-Sirohi parliamentary constituency, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that in order to maintain the integrity of the country many Congress leaders had sacrificed their lives.

Sirohi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for questioning Congress' achievements in 70 years of its regime.

While addressing a public rally in Sirohi in support of Congress candidate Ratan Devasi from Jalore-Sirohi parliamentary seat, Gehlot said, "Whatever is there in the country today, electricity, water, roads, medicine, development work, it has happened in 70 years of Congress and not in your 5 years."

He added that Congress leaders Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi had sacrificed their lives to maintain the integrity of the country.

Congress candidate Ratan Devasi, minister-in-charge Bhanwar Singh Bhati, MLA Sanyam Lodha and district president Jivararam Arya also addressed the rally.
