Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam has decided to declare Anjanadri as the original birthplace of Lord Hanuman on Sri Rama Navami which falls on April 21.

The decision to declare Anjanadri as the original birthplace of Lord Hanuman has been taken based on historical and epigraphical shreds of evidence, says TTD.

Initially, TTD had planned to release the evidence related to Lord Hanuman's birthplace on Ugadi, but as he is the devotee of Shri Ram, a decision was taken to declare the same on Sri Rama Navami.

TTD EO Jawahar Reddy had set up a committee in December 2020 to comprehensively study the evidence which confirms Anjanadri as the birthplace of Lord Hanuman.
