Narrow escape for Suttur seer as balloons explode

Mysore: Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji of Sutturu Mutt was injured with three others as hydrogen balloons exploded during the inaugural ceremony of a wrestling tournament at Nanjanagud on Thursday.

The incident occurred when the organisers held them for a photograph and the balloons exploded as they reportedly came into contact with incendiary material.

Three persons along with the seer sustained injuries and no casualties have been reported.
