NIA takes Vaze from CSMT to Thane by local train

National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating the Mansukh Hiren murder case, took the suspended police officer Sachin Vaze from Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Thane on a local train to recreate the crime scene.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating the Mansukh Hiren murder case, took the suspended police officer Sachin Vaze from Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Thane on a local train to recreate the crime scene.

Vaze is the prime suspect in the Antilia bomb scare and Mansukh Hiren murder case. NIA has claimed that Vaze had planted the vehicle loaded with gelatin sticks in the premises of industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence. It was later revealed that the vehicle belonged to Hiren who was found dead.

NIA said that Vaze travelled from CSMT to Thane on the day Hiren was killed. NIA recreated the scene on Monday night from 11 pm to 11.45 pm. Police inspector Vikram Khalate and a team from Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) was present.

Vaze left his cellphone in the office

Vaze took the local train to Thane instead of his vehicle. He left his mobile phone in the office so that he will not be traced. He asked his friend to attend to the calls received on his mobile.

Vaze caught on CCTV

NIA got the CCTV footage which shows Vaze outside CSMT near GPO signal at 7 pm. He was also seen at Thane railway station from where he took the local train to go to Bhaykhala (Byculla) where he had raided a bar. Later, he asked his colleagues to bring his mobile phone kept in his office, so that all the locations can be seen together and no one can suspect Vaze.
