Mumbai (Maharashtra): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) having obtained the footage from 800 CCTVs in Mumbai, to investigate Mansukh Hiren's death case, has gathered solid evidence against the suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze.
It is known that the NIA had recorded the statements of more than 40 witnesses in connection with the case, while 8 people have been made prime witnesses. Apart from this, the counter-terrorist task force is also trying to find out the motive behind the crime by interrogating Riyaz Qazi.

Mansukh Hiren, the owner of the explosive-laden vehicle that was parked near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence 'Antilia', was found dead in a creek in Thane on March 5. About 20 gelatin sticks and a threat letter addressed to the Ambani family was recovered from the car.
In connection with the case, the NIA had arrested Sachin Vaze on March 13 after taking over the case of the explosive-laden SUV found outside Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani's residence.

The NIA had questioned Vaze over his involvement in the murder of Mansukh Hiren and his financial dealings besides recovery of cash and high-end cars. It was then revealed that an amount of Rs 1.5 crore was deposited in a private bank account in the name of a company floated by Vaze. The Agency added that Vaze and another accused had hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Hiren (a co-conspirator in the explosives case) on March 2 and 3.
Sachin Vaze has been remanded to judicial custody till April 23 by an NIA court.
