Mumbai: Expressing concern over its alliance partner Congress' performance in Maharashtra Lok Sabha election, Rajya Sabha MP from NCP Majeed Memon said that his party seat share would be doubled by the time counting ends.
The NCP leader further said that he is very surprised to see that the Congress hasn't opened its account in the state despite having two of its candidates as former Chief Ministers of the state. He went on saying that Congress needs to introspect seriously in this regard.

Earlier, 22 opposition parties met the Election Commission on Tuesday and flagged the movement of voting machines in five states after multiple videos surfaced. They also wanted the VVPAT machines to be considered first.
The Supreme Court had dismissed a request seeking 100 per cent matching of paper trail slips with the electronic voting machines during counting, calling it "nonsense".
