Questioning if the Bengal government could provide the youth with employment, Rahul Gandhi said, "Did the youth get employment, did the farmers receive any help? On one hand Narendra Modi lies and on the other hand Chief Minister keeps on making false promises."

He further stated, "You've seen CPM government for years, then you chose Mamata Banerjee. But the torture the people of the state faced during CPM, they're facing the same during Mamata's rule. Earlier, the government was functioning for one organisation and now it is functioning for one person."
