Katihar (Bihar): In the flood-hit state of Bihar, people are coming up with unique ways to prevent further deaths in the state. The residents of Neema village in Katihar district of Bihar have resorted to hanging dead snakes and scorpions on a road leading to the village as a warning for passers-by about the existence of dangerous reptiles and amphibians in the area.
A rather unusual precautionary meaure, the villagers hung up dead scorpions and snakes on a bamboo stick and placed it on the road in a bid to avoid incidents of people getting bitten by the venomous creatures.
Villagers believe this helps people to understand that the area is dangerous and they change their route.
