Hamirpur (Himachal): Jai Ram Thakur, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh has announced that seven new oxygen plants will be set up in the state on an urgent basis and that they would be located in various districts of the state. Even the capacity of beds for corona infected patients in the state will be doubled, the CM added.
Addressing a presser in Hamirpur, CM Jairam Thakur said that the total capacity of health institutions in various districts would be increased to 3000 from the present 1650.

CM Thakur speaking to the media, said that in a bid to control Corona in the state, he has been constantly holding review meetings with the concerned officials of various districts.
As of now, it has been decided to build the oxygen plants in Dharamshala, Mandi, Hamirpur, Nahan and Chamba. Once, these plants turn operational on a full scale, 24 hours of oxygen will be ensured in hospitals and medical colleges.
The CM also expressed satisfaction over the readiness of the supply chain in the state in dealing with the Corona situation.
