YouTuber ties dog to gas balloons, arrested

Delhi YouTuber trying to float his dog in the air by tying it to gas-filled balloons drew flak from netizens. A case was registered against Gaurav and his mother under various sections of the IPC. The YouTuber was later arrested.

New Delhi: A Delhi-based YouTuber Gaurav has been arrested for tying his dog to gas balloons. A video of Gaurav trying to float the pet in the air was uploaded by on his Youtube channel 'Gaurav Zone'.

The YouTuber tied several colored balloons to the upper part of the dog's body and tried to float it in the air.

As soon as the video went online, the Youtuber was criticized for his insensitivity. A case was registered under the 'Animal Cruelty Act' against Gaurav and his mother under sections 188, 269, 34 of the IPC and the Animal Cruelty Act at Malviya Nagar police station in Delhi.

Following the complaint, Gaurav was arrested.

Gaurav who has four million subscribers, having drawn flak, later deleted the video and said that he had taken care of all the safety measures while shooting the video, but failed to upload that part citing that it would have made the video lengthy.

He then apologized for the incident and said that he treats his pets like children.
