New Delhi: A legal notice was sent by the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) against the remarks made by yoga teacher Baba Ramdev regarding doctors and medical science, in which Baba Ramdev was asked to publicly apologize or face legal action. In his response, the Yoga teacher turned businessman denied making objectionable statements about allopathy and doctors.

The legal notice to Baba Ramdev was sent on behalf of FAIMA Vice President Dr Rohan Krishnan on 22 May, in which a public apology was demanded from Baba Ramdev regarding the whole controversy. However, Baba Ramdev in his response neither issued an apology nor a statement and instead categorically denied it.

Speaking on the issue, Dr Rohan said that the reply sent by Baba Ramdev has been forwarded to FAIMA's legal team, and further action will be taken. He also added that Baba Ramdev could've ended the entire controversy with an apology.
