Man held in Punjab for sharing Indian Army's info to foreign intelligence

Delhi Police has apprehended an accused identified as Harpal Singh for sharing information related to the Indian Army and its movement to a foreign intelligence agency.

New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a man who spied for foreign intelligence agency from Tarn Taran, Punjab.

The accused identified as Harpal Singh had shared significant information about the Indian Army and its movement to a foreign intelligence agency and was paid money for sharing the information via the hawala system.

According to Sanjeev Yadav, the DCP of Special Cell, his team had received prior information that Harpal Singh, a resident of Tarn Taran in Punjab, was giving information related to the Indian Army to a foreign intelligence agency.

The info allegedly included the location of the Indian Army, BSF Posts and the places where the bunkers are located, especially those on India-Pakistan borders.
