New Delhi: Farmer leader Yogendra Yadav on Wednesday took part in the farmers' protest at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. Describing the day as a historic one, he said, "Farmers have issued whip to parliamentarians. This has happened for the first time." He added that the farmers will march to the Parliament in a very disciplined manner and that they will discuss about all the issues, they were facing, including those issues which are being discussed in countries around the world, but not being discussed in India.
He went onto say that the government repeatedly asked them as to what problems they were facing with the three new agricultural laws, so today we will tell them about our problems with the new farm laws. Beginning Thursday (July 22) to August 9, around 200 farmers have been allowed to protest at the Jantar Mantar every day and will also organize a farmers' parliament.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Yudhvir Singh has said that the decision to protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar was not of the police, but of the farmers. Farmers always wanted to hold peaceful demonstrations and the same thing is happening, Singh added.
