New Delhi: A new twist has come to the fore in Youtuber Himanshi Gandhi's suicide case. A WhatsApp chat has emerged in which Gandhi blames one of her acquaintances for the suicide. She has held a person named Ayush and some others responsible. In the chat, she reveals that she has been suffering from ill-health for some time, but despite that, her acquaintances were ill-treating her. She also states that she is going to end her life.
Reports said, the chat took place between Gandhi and a friend between 2:26 pm and 3:06 pm on 24th June, around half an hour before the woman jumped off the Signature Bridge into the Yamuna river in Delhi. Since the WhatsApp chat surfaced, the police are continuously interrogating Ayush and are trying to find out the reasons why she took such a drastic step. At present, no official statement has come from the police but with the passage of time, new revelations can be expected.

According to police, Himanshi Gandhi had left her house on the morning of June 24 and went to a cafe in Vijay Nagar area. Following a heated argument with her friends, she left the place and went to the Signature Bridge in an auto-rickshaw. When the CCTV cameras installed in and around the bridge were scoured, the woman could be seen jumping off the bridge, a senior police officer said, adding that her body was later recovered from Kudesia Ghat on June 25 and handed over to her family after a post-mortem.
The exact cause of the death will be ascertained from the autopsy report which is awaited, police said. However, police have not found any suicide note at the scene of the incident and an investigation into the matter is underway. Gandhi was a Youtuber and uploaded creative content on the American online video sharing and social media platform.
