Hazrat Nizamuddin (New Delhi): The Hazrat Nizamuddin Madgaon Rajdhani Express that travels from Delhi to Goa, reportedly derailed in a tunnel at Maharashtra's Ratnagiri at 4:15 AM on Saturday morning. According to sources, the train derailed inside the Karbude tunnel near Ratnagiri, between Ukshi and Bhoke which is around 325 km from Mumbai.
Small boulder from the tunnel hit one wheel of the train. The track was fixed at 8.18 am after which the train left site at 08.45 am, sources said.
There are no reports of injuries to passengers, most of whom were sleeping at the time of the accident. However, the traffic on the Konkan railway line has come to a standstill and efforts are on to resume the traffic on a war footing.
