Dehradun: A Rs 200 Cr or $ 29 mn wedding is the talk of a resort town nestled among the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. The residents of the town say it's one of the biggest weddings in Auli and none can remember anything as grand as this wedding event to have taken place in their town.
The controversial Gupta family, billionaires and an Indian expatriate success story is the reason for the buzz in Auli. If the budget of the wedding has already made your eyebrows arch, the wedding card will ensure that you open your eyes wide.
A single wedding card that the family is sending out to the guests of the wedding costs Rs 8 Lakhs or $ 11,450.The cost is not without reason. The card and the box containing it is made of 2 kgs of silver.
Once you open the box which is ornately made, there are silver cards inside it which has the names of the grooms and their brides with compliments from the elders of the family engraved on it. It also has the time of the wedding and the reception and associated events mentioned in it both in Hindi and English.
