Dehradun: Yoga guru Swami Ramdev, who is known for making controversial statements, is in the headlines yet again. An unverified video of Baba Ramdev daring the government to arrest him has gone viral.
Reacting to the '#ArrestRamdev' hashtag which had trended on Twitter, Baba Ramdev said that people do all kinds of things on social media.
Recently, the Yoga guru's statements on allopathy doctors and scientific medicine too didn't go down well with the medical fraternity.

This led the Uttarakhand division of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to send a Rs 1,000 crore defamation notice against Baba Ramdev, seeking an explanation and a written apology within the next 15 days.
The health minister of the country also asked Baba Ramdev to apologize for the statements made on allopaths and doctors. Having drawn flak for his remarks, Baba Ramdev later had withdrawn his statement.
Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal, Senior Neurologist and Executive Member of the Indian Medical Association speaking to ETV Bharat termed the remarks made by Baba Ramdev as unfortunate and that it would mislead people in the society.

He added that such statements do hurt doctors when they are fighting to save the lives of patients amid a huge global epidemic.
Dr. Mahesh demanded that the government should take action on Baba Ramdev for his statements as they have been made without certified evidence and that the silence of the government gives more courage to such people.
