Infant abandoned in garbage bin, rescued by auto rickshaw driver

An abandoned newborn baby has been rescued from the roadside garbage bin near Triveni Road in Yeshwantpur of Bengaluru.

Bengaluru: An abandoned newborn baby has been rescued from the roadside a dustbin near Triveni Road in Yeshwantpur of Bengaluru on Thursday.

According to sources, an auto driver passing by the area heard the baby crying and upon searching spotted the newborn dumped there.

He immediately rescued the newborn and informed the matter to the police. The driver itself safeguarded the baby from the cloth and admitted the baby to the KC General Hospital, sources said.

The infant baby was found to be a boy and his weight is too less. Presently the infant is under the treatment, doctors said.

The newborn baby is suspected to have been abandoned by his parents. Police and doctors have appreciated the sense of the auto driver, along with it the police are searching for the parents of the infant baby with the help of CCTV footage, informed sources.
