Bengaluru (Karnataka): Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya, Local MLA Satish Reddy and Ravi Subramanya have lashed out at war room officials in the southern zone of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) area for allocating hospital bed to Covid patients in exchange for bribes.

They visited the BBMP South Zone War room and also provided 'evidence' in the form of audio and WhatsApp messages to prove their allegations.

Addressing a press meet on Tuesday, Tejashvi Surya said that there are enough beds in Bengaluru city but none of them were made available to the people as war room personnel have been running a racket of blocking beds and then allotting them to those they decide.

"Massive scandal is made by booking beds in the names of those who are in home isolation. The record here and the information we receive do not match. False record is created in booking beds. People have been waiting for hospital beds for up to 15 days. It is very bad to commit such corruption in such a situation," he said.
