Agra (UP): An Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus coming from Kanpur on Thursday hit a stationary truck on the Chalesar flyover. The accident which took place on the Firozabad road resulted in four deaths and serious injuries to a dozen others. Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem, while those injured were rushed to the emergency ward of the SN Medical College. According to the police, the truck loaded with watermelons was parked on the side of the road for repairs. Two men and two women died on the spot. The condition of a few injured passengers was described as serious.

The jurisdictional officer of Etmadpur, Archana Singh having sent those injured to the hospital got the bus and truck removed with the help of a JCB and crane from the national highway, thereby resuming the flow of traffic. Those deceased have been identified as - Mani (60), Resham (65), Mandleshwar (28) and Narendra Singh Chauhan (52).
