Ratan Tata joins Instagram

Ratan Tata has joined Instagram after a long absence from public life.

Hyderabad: Industrialist Ratan Tata on Wednesday joins social media platform 'Instagram'.

In a tweet, he said, "I don’t know about breaking the internet, but I am so excited to join all of you on Instagram (ratantata)! After a long absence from public life, I look forward to exchanging stories and creating something special with such a diverse community."

Grandson of Jamsetji Tata, Ratan Tata was the chairman of Tata Groups, from 1990 to 2014. Now he continues to head its charitable trust.

With 7.7 million followers on Instagram, he expressed his excitement of joining another social media service. His bio on Instagram said "I made it to the Gram!" along with the chairman, Tat Trust and Chairman Emeritus, Tata sons.

So far he has 6,390 followers on Instagram.
