A legal complaint has been lodged in this regard from Amul to Prayagraj Police Station in Uttar Pradesh. The complaint made by Amul also mentions that Ashutosh Shukla was contacted by Amul officials on December 16 and requested to delete the video from social media, while Ashutosh insisted on talking to Amul's higher official.

Ashutosh was then contacted on December 18 by high officials of Amul where he said to have demanded Rs 10 lakh to delete the video from social media. So, Amul has lodged a case against Shukla under IPC sections 386 (extortion), 499 (defamation) and also under the Information Technology Act.

Dr. RS Sodhi, Managing Director of GCMMF, further said checking for the quality of all products is done on four different levels. Whenever such confusion spread on social media about any brand every citizen should contact that brand directly and check for a viral video.
