New Delhi: Price cut for petrol and diesel continued for the second consecutive day on Friday. In national capital region Delhi, petrol prices have come down to Rs 71 per litre while diesel has been selling at below Rs 65 per litre after January this year.
Oil marketing companies on Friday cut the price of petrol by 13 paise in Delhi and Mumbai, 12 paise in Kolkata and 14 paise per litre in Chennai.
Diesel prices in Delhi and Kolkata were dropped by 32 paise, Mumbai by 33 paise and Chennai by 34 paise.

As per the IndianOil website, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have declined to Rs 70.94, Rs 73.19, Rs 76.63 and Rs 73.70 per litre respectively. The price of diesel has also come down to Rs 64.90, Rs 66.82, Rs 68.06 and Rs 68.66 per litre respectively in all four metros.
After the reduction in the price of oil, the price of petrol in Delhi came down from Rs. 71 for the first time since February 18 this year. Petrol was Rs 70.91 in Delhi on February 18, 2019.
In the country's capital, diesel came down from 65 rupees a litre for the first time since January 18. In Delhi, the price of diesel was Rs 64.97 per litre on January 18.
