New Delhi: In response to the letter of 108 economists who expressed concern over the validity of statistical data, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the so-called economist who raised questions on development figures are leftist supporter.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley posted a video on Twitter on Tuesday, in which he said that more than 70 percent of those signatories are those people who have sometimes attacked on the government for some reason. At the same time, most of them are also participants of various political campaigns against the current government.
He said that a few days ago, 108 so-called economists issued a statement and questioned its legitimacy. I analyzed the credentials of all 108 economists and found that 70 percent of the people are critics of the government, who have signed several memoranda against this government in the last five years. Most of these memoirs are on the issue of politics.

Jaitley said that reliable international institutions like IMF and World Bank have accepted India's official data. Jaitley also underlined that India's infrastructure development has been the fastest in the entire history till now.
Jaitley further said that the government is working on building infrastructure on a large scale. They also denied claims of unemployment development in the Indian economy.
