New Delhi: Former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Saturday attacked the central government and said that it has wrecked India's economy over the last six months.
"Today, India's economy is completely broken. Today we have the highest rate of unemployment in about 20 years" Chidambaram said at the Bharat Bachao rally.
He further added "the economy continues to sink every day, every day it goes down one notch. Food inflation is 10%, exports are down for 4 months. Every day you get bad news and let me tell you tomorrow you will get more bad news. In six months the Narendra Modi Government has wrecked India's economy."
Chidambaram also slammed the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman by saying that the Union Ministers are completely clueless. "Yesterday Finance Minister said everything's alright, we are on top of the world. The only thing she didn't say was achhe din aane wale hain. She doesn't have the money which she says she gives."
Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi, Former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi are also present at 'Bharat Bachao' rally at Ramlila Maidan.
