London: The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives warned on Monday that a post-Brexit trade deal between the United States and the United Kingdom won't happen if there's any weakening of the Good Friday Agreement.
Nancy Pelosi said that in such an event there'd be "no chance whatsoever" of a trade accord.
The Good Friday Agreement could not be "bargained away in another agreement", she told an audience at the London School of Economics.
Pelosi revealed that in extensive talks with UK politicians, including Prime Minister Theresa May and opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, "every single person... said 'don't worry about that, we would not even go there'."
