Hyderabad: Buddhist Circuit train has been launched in collaboration with Indian Rail Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), which had run similar packages of the special tourist trains in 2018.
The First Departure of Buddhist Circuit tourist train for the current season 2019-20 will start from 19th October to 26th October.
This train will cover a complete tour of 8 days and 7 nights, covering various key pilgrimage destinations across India and Nepal, including Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Nalanda, Varanasi, Sarnath, Kushinagar, Lumbini (Nepal), Shravasti and Agra.
This train has been designed on the lines of Maharaja Express consisting of touchless taps, leather interiors, sofas, bio-vacuum toilets, and adjustable reading lights.
There are a total number of 12 coaches on this train, including four AC first-class coaches, two-second class AC coaches, two dining cars, and a Pantry car.
The train has also been covered with Vinyl wrapping which promotes Incredible India. The coaches have been equipped with Personal Digital lockers, cubical showers, foot massagers, separate sitting areas, along with other latest equipment serving International delicacies.
IRCTC is charging Rs 1.23 lakhs (per couple) for the complete tour in AC first class and Rs 1.01 lakh for AC second tier.
These package charges also include a 50 percent discount on the companion ticket, road transport, accommodation, meals, sightseeing, and English/Hindi speaking tour escort.
However, this package does not include India/Nepal visa fees, Road transfers to and from Safdarjung Railway Station, items of personal use.
