Kolkata: In an innovative way to attract an audience the cinema halls have decided to screen this year's world cup cricket.
Though one of the most awaited Hindi potboilers 'Bharat' with Salman Khan playing the title role has hit the theatres sales statistics show that the cricket fever is higher.
Kolkata cinema halls, sports bars deck up for India-Pak match Inox, a multiplex chain, will screen all the matches played by India as well as the semi-final and the final match. On 16 June the theatres will telecast India vs Pakistan match.
Almost 12 inox theatres all over India are going screening the match.
Amitava Guha Thakurta, regional manager, Inox said that “This is the first time that Inox has come up with such a unique concept. We are sure to get a good response. Ticket booking for cricket match is higher than the movie Bharat."
He added that combo meals are also offered for the cricket lovers. Even the sports theme bars of the city is not lacking behind as they are also screening all the matches.

The owner of one such sports bar Jacky Bambani said that "we had started this bar four years back on the day when the India-Pakistan match was going on. Since this is a sports-themed bar we show almost all kinds of matches however the footfall due to the world cup or the IPL is relatively more."
Not just watching the favourite team win on a big screen, match based mocktails and food items have been conceptualized.
