New Delhi: BJP’s decision to allot only one ministerial berth to JD(U) after its massive victory in the Lok Sabha elections has seemingly upset Nitish Kumar. Sensing the situation, the opposition parties have sent a tentative invitation to Mr. Kumar to return to the Mahagathbandhan – the Grand Alliance.
Bihar's former CM and HAM President, Jitan Ram Manjhi has also offered Nitish Kumar to return to Mahagathbandhan.
The Chief Spokesperson and General Secretary of the RLSP, Madhav Anand said that they will support Nitish Kumar on the issue of special state status to Bihar.
"BJP and JD(U) are trying to degrade each other in Bihar. JD(U) is making pressure on BJP to get half the seats for the Bihar assembly elections and to declare Nitish Kumar's name as Chief Ministerial candidate," said Anand.
He further said that PM Modi was silent on the issue of according special status to Bihar.
"Nitish should raise this issue loudly now as there is an NDA government at the centre as well as the state. Mahagathbandhan is united in Bihar and it will win the Bihar assembly elections in 2020," added Anand.
