Araria: An 8-month pregnant woman along with her three children were found dead with their throats slit in Bihar's Araria on Thursday night, allegedly over a property dispute. According to reports, the property dispute has been going on for a long time.
The deceased have been identified as Tabasum (35) and her three children Alia, Shabbir and Sameer.
While the villagers expressed shock and anger over the incident, most of them remained petrified over the terrifying manner in which the children were murdered.
A perplexed neighbour said, "Why have they been murdered? Their enmity was with an individual...This should not have happened."
While a cloud of gloom descended in Araria's Madhupara village over the killings, police have ordered a detailed investigation into the matter.
Reportedly, Tabasum's husband Mohammad Alam was at the Masjid for Namaz when the killings took place.
While sources revealed that three people have been apprehended in connection with the case, no statement has been issued by the police.
