Member of Valsad Corporation 'silently' protests in meeting

Vishesh Patel, a member of Valsad Corporation protested in a unique way during the general meeting to show his discontentment regarding the working of the corporation. He had taped his mouth shut and played with a toy during the proceedings to express his displeasure.

Valsad: Vishesh Patel, Chairman of Building Committee at Valsad Corporation, was seen playing with a toy with mouth taped during the general meeting held on June 8.

This unique way of protesting was exhibited by the Chairman as he felt not much development projects have been undertaken by the Corporation.

According to the sources, Patel's representations have also been ignored by the corporation.

His action surprised everyone in the meeting which was held at 11 am in Atal Bihari Bazpi area in the BJP-ruled Valsad municipality.

On the other hand, Rajubhai, an independent member and Jagat Vasawa, Chief Officer, Valsad municipality were seen having an intense argument over the illegal construction of houses and shops.

Valsad Municipal Engineer Hiteshbhai was not present in the last two general meetings and the members of the opposition also showed displeasure against his absence.
