India planning to have its own space station, says ISRO Chief.

The space station will most likely be used to conduct microgravity experiments, he added.

The ISRO chief said that the preliminary plan for the space station is to accommodate astronauts for up to 15-20 days in space, but specific details will emerge after the Gaganyaan, is complete, he said.

There will be no collaboration with any other country for this project, he stressed.

Body:Talking about the challenges of Chandrayaan-2 mission launching, K Sivan said, "the last 15 minutes to the landing are going to be the most terrifying for us because ISRO has never undertaken such type of complex flight."

He added that Chandrayaan-2 speed has to be reduced in a control way to bring the orbital speed to zero. The sensors, navigation system, mission management everything has to function in a correct way to ensure that it is landing at right time with zero velocity.

Conclusion:ISRO chairperson said that Chandrayaan-2 which is set to launch on July 15 at 2:51 am, has a mass of 3.8 tonne and has three modules- Orbiter, Lander and Rover.

He also announced that on the eve of 75th Independence anniversary of India in 2022, ISRO will send its first human mission into space.

When he was asked that women can also be the the part of this space mission, he said Might be, as we have named it a human mission and not man mission.

Chandrayaan-2 will be India's second mission to the moon, and the first to attempt a soft landing. It will make a landing at a site where no earlier mission has gone, near the South pole of the moon.
