Guntur (Andhra Pradesh): Reaffirming his faith in the government education system, a Revenue Divisional Officer in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh had enrolled his son in a municipal school for his educational pursuits.
Cherukuri Rangaiah, working as Tenali RDO, enrolled his son Siddarth in Ravi Rangiah Municipal High School.
Outlining on the reason behind the step, Rangaiah said that admitting his son to a government school would convince the general public about the educational standards, as most of the government teachers send their children to private schools.
He further said that the teaching standards of the government schools improved considerably and have been giving stiff competition to the private schools.
