Bhubaneswar: As the people, affected by cyclone Fani in Odisha, are still reeling under the misery of devastations caused by the storm the state government on Friday announced that it will "intensify" the 'helping hand' initiative to restore normalcy in affected areas.
Sanjay Singh, Secretary, Odisha's Information and Public Relations Department, told media, "Around 260 skilled ITI trainees from different parts of the state have come down to Bhubaneswar."
They are going from house to house wherever people are having problems as regards to electrical appliances or plumbing, he said.
"We will also intensify the initiative of 'helping hand' in Puri in coming days. Water supply has been restored in all urban areas both in quality and quantity," Singh further added.
More than 40 people have died due to Cyclone Fani in Odisha. It made landfall in the state on May 3.
