Cong MLA Basant Singh helps power dept staff by climbing rooftop

Congress MLA Basant Singh helped the employees of the power department in Katni on Friday. He climbed atop a school building to help the staff pull a wire. He said that he wanted to spread a message among the public to help people who work for the development of the area.

Katni: In an act of humility, Congress MLA Basant Singh lent a helping hand to the power department employees to pull a wire on the rooftop of a school building in Madhya Pradesh's Katni on Friday.

The incident took place when Singh was passing through the Badwara area where some employees of the power department were engaged in supply restoration work near a government school.

Employees were facing some difficulty in pulling the wire. After noticing the problem, Singh climbed the school building to help the employees.

"I was unaware that the incident was being captured. But, I want to spread a message that if we want to develop our area we should help each other in the time of need," said Singh.

The humility of the MLA was appreciated by the employees and the onlookers. The video of the incident is also making rounds on social media.

Basant Singh is Congress MLA from Badwara seat of Madhya Pradesh.
