Patna: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MP Veena Devi on Friday lashed out at journalists for asking questions on the outbreak of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in the region which has claimed lives of over a hundred children till now. The distraught MP resorted to absurd answers on being asked relevant questions about the government's apathy in Bihar.
Devi said, "Yes, kids are dying. I'm going to make a visit. Ask people from my Lok Sabha constituency whether I visit them or not."
On being asked about being present at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dinner party and not visiting ailing children in the hospitals, Devi said, "I was not present there. You people in the media are unnecessarily creating a hype out of it and making it go viral."
Devi also claimed that the government was not responsible for the death of children adding that necessary steps were being taken.
