Hyderabad: Hours after series bomb blasts that rocked Sri Lanka claiming lives of more than 200 people, an improvised bomb was found at Colombo International airport.
The death toll due to the series of explosions increased to 290, Reuters reported quoting police spokesman.
According to media reports, the six-foot long pipe containing explosive was found by air force officers during a routine patrol at the international airport.
So far police have arrested 24 persons in connection with the series blasts that jolted the island nation.
Meanwhile, the curfew which was imposed following the explosions yesterday was lifted at 6 am, as scheduled.
Over 290 people were killed and more than 450 wounded after a series of blast hit hotel and churches during Easter prayer.

Three Indians, two Turks, five Britishers, one Portuguese and many Chinese and Dutch nationals were killed in the blast.
