Chennai (Tamil Nadu): A Yoga instructor who was praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his Guinness World record ended up in prison on sexual harassment charges. The yoga teacher Yogaraj has been arrested for sexually abusing teenagers, filming, selling videos for money on Chinese pornographic sites.
Poovendran Chidambaram, also known as Yogaraj achieved Guinness World Record in 2015. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised him on his Twitter page for his contribution to the field of Yoga.
A 21-year-old medical worker from Royapettah in Chennai lodged a complaint with the help of a private charity administrator Shyam in Mambalam All Women's Police Station.
Based on the complaint, he was arrested on charges of sexual harassment and threatening.
